Persuasive Text/Grandparents

WALT: write a persuasive text on rather having grandparents get paid to look after grandchildren or not.

When you are looking after your grandchildren you would want to build a strong relationship with them. But there are also lots of things that you would want to do alone, without your grandchildren.

Looking after kids is a lot of work. And if you are old this is never good or pleasing on your body to be running around for your grandchild, whether it is a baby or an under 16 child you're going to be tired regardless. If you're tired you want breaks, but you cannot do that when having a child to look after, especially if you are fairly old. Being paid will be fair as if you're running around you should at least get some investment in it.

If you already have a job, let's say working at an office, you would have to bring the kid along. Bring their lunch, make sure they are happy, dressed and all sorts of things that seem like a chore, and you day has barely started. It's even worse if you work at a hands-down job. Missing the day would be acceptable because if you are getting paid, that day taken off doesn't really matter.

But my last reason is simple. Whether your children want to pay for you to babysdit ofr not its all fair and square, because your not only babysitting, it's like looking after your own children.

I strongly believe that you should be paid when looking after grandchildren, but i also don’t think that it should just be prioritised to just money. Maybe coupons, food other things would be acceptable and that time spent with them is also one.
