Did you know New Zealand is the third in the world lead with the cleanest power source? But there isn't just one power source like electricity. But I want to talk about the different types of energy types.

True, all of these sources use their individual use of power. But they also play a very big part which could potentially save power, as well as saving money.

Electricity is what most people use. Hot showers, charging ipads and phones, using the washing machines and all sorts of different things. But sometimes there are some downgrades with that. When using electrical power you are also adding up lots of money. For say you leave the fridge door open for a long period of time. Then noticing that, of course you close it. All of that cold air in the fridge has just left so having to make it cold again, spends money with the force of energy/power used in that. So when you're coming home from school, obviously looking for a snack. Look quickly , close the fridge and save money, power.

Mechanical energy is more of a motion electricity. It is mainly used in cars, roller coasters and put that energy is mainly so other things that move or take motion. But it is also used in our body. When we eat, run, kick, shoot a basket we are all using mechanical energy, as we are taking motion.

Chemical Energy is a special type of energy. It releases chemical reactions, alsop into our body. But how does it get into your body you may ask? You eat it. This is no joke. When eating food, like an apple that bit of apple sends a chemical reaction throughout your body. Like it feeds your hunger and powers things to get you going, maybe if you're hungry. But it is not only for your body. Chemical energy is released when either burning wood, natural gas or goal. But these gases are not good as they let of smoke which kind of damages the earth. Which is also one of the clauses to start global warming.

Radiant Energy is the last type of energy which comes in the form of, The Sun. Radiant Energy is when there is both heat and light. Which we can tell not only does the sun let of light, but it also lets of heat. Just like a light bulb. But they don’t all have to be heated. Just like an electric blanket. It is not lighting things up, but it is letting heat come off of it. Or the moon and the twinkly stars. They all let of light but not heat.  

Solar panels are which some people use as an alternative. It is powered by the sun. but you can also tell that sometimes they may not work. Why? Because nobody can control the weather but the weather itself. So what if there is no sun out for a day. But luckily there is a solution made. Recently tesla has made a device, so that when you're not at home using your solar power, or when there is a blackout, all of your power is gone into a little box to be stored. As Well as that, if you have a blackout and have an electric car, all the power stored in the car can be used to power your house. So you can keep the internet going and all your food cold.

But you may wonder. Where does the electricity come from? New Zealand has lots of different sources where it comes from. Both renewable and nonrenewable. Renewable is when it can be naturally replenished. non-renewable is when it can only be used once.

The only non-renewable types is only fossil fuels. But did you know that it takes millions of years for natural gas to be formed.Fossil fuels is made by coal and gas being burned.

But the renewable forms is hydro energy, created by water. Wind energy, which is obviously created by the force of wind. Solar energy which is energy created from the sun. Bioenergy is created by waste materials. Geothermal energy created by underground steam. And the last one which is created by movement of the waves which is called Marine Energy.

New Zealand is a power saving sufficient country which is currently growing using lots of different ways where everyone is equal and saving money is a must.
