Today our task was to create a pixton/storyboard about adult maturity games. This is what my final project had come out with.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 7 and my teacher is Mrs Tu’akoi.

Chemical Reaction - Burning Newspapers
T4W3 : MONDAY
Chemical Reaction - Burning Newspapers.
Ask a question
Do you need a specific paper to burn?
|
Construct a hypothesis( make a guess)
I think it's going to burn and turn into ash and smell very bad.
|
Conduct the experiment
The burning paper turned into ash.
|
Record your observations and data
colour change,
We could see the color changing to black and the smoke which of course came out grey. We could also see the flame but it would be covered the more the paper burned. The smell was also terrible.
|
Analyse information
The smell was bad
It was light gray then turned black after being burnt.
It did turn into ash.
|
Report results - My hypothesis was 50% correct as it did turn to ash and the smell was very bad.
|

Inferences: Hands Up For Henna
Moana Inferences: Hands Up For Henna 24/10/2017
- You are Asli
What would it be like if henna was not available here in New Zealand?
-The existence of henna would not be known and if they see someone with it they are more curious than amazed. But if it was well known in all sorts of countries then they know that there tradition will never dry out and will always be remembered.
2. Explain the significance of henna being used in many different celebrations.
-If you are the bride either at a wedding or a ceremony, then you will be well noticed if you are the only person being there with henna. But if everyone is wearing henna then the bride may be hard to spot out.
3. You are Asli
How do you feel when the henna decoration is complete?
-You feel relieved because you can finally relax your body and show everyone how cool your henna would look. Its also fun because you can then eat and go play around with your family members or friends.
4. You are Marion
Do you think it’s still worth celebrating it away from your home country? Explain why?
-It would be good because people can learn more about your culture and even start businesses around their country including henna. It makes a good attraction. Marion could even start her own business and potentially get good money.
5. Henna decoration is not allowed at school.
What would you do?
-you could either write a persuasive text to your administrator or principle stating that its culture and should be allowed, or just simple appreciate the fact that it is not part of school normality.

How I want to be remembered as?
Explanation on : How I want to be remembered as?
- I have written a title
- I have an opening sentence introducing what is being explained.
- I have used present tense.
- I have included technical words.
- I have used cause and effect connectives.
- My paragraph for each key points, explain how the subject works or what happens.
- I have written a summary paragraph.
Term 4 is just around the corner, it's the sad reality but it also means that all the year 8 students are ready to move along for college. But we were all asked one very important question. What do we want to be remembered as? Which is basically the question which means, when we leave, what will everyone remember about us once our name pops into their head.
Personally I don’t really know what I would want to be remembered as. I know most people would remember me as the annoying goofy person, who in most situations speaks their mind. But then again I also want to be remembered as the girl who helps people when it is needed or just their to give a hand. But right now I want to ask myself, how will I remember Glen Innes School?
I remember GI school as the school I grew up not only with the amount of friends, but in mind. Helping me get to where I need to be or just showing me the virtues of being a good person.
I will most probably miss primary more than anything, leaving all the people I love, my favourite teachers (A.K.A Mrs Tu’Akoi), the playground that I broke my leg on and just all the inspiring talented people that will be left and Glen Innes Primary.
I actually went around asking not only students but also teachers what they would remember about me. Most people said they would miss my smile, my hugs even how kind I was. Even remembered as the ‘Maori Girl’.
Last but not least I would like to be known as an independent person, who is able to do the impossible and who can be very trustworthy with doing good things when I am not told and to be able to.
When I leave Glen Innes School hopefully I do leave a legacy so that when I come to visit people will remember me.
Rangoli Patterns
Rangoli Patterns
Meaning - Rangoli is generally an Indian pattern which is done each year. Rangoli is not actually an even but it is a pattern done for special occasions.
Reason - The main reason for the doing of the Rangoli Pattern is to symbolize that, the day it is being done is a special day.
